So let me be completely honest. I kind of forgot about school at the end of the week last week because I decided to take on a pretty tough babysitting job, (3 boys, 3 nights, 4 days) which had me going crazy by night 2. So when it came to the weekend, of course I did not hold back. I let myself have some fun. I went out with great friends Saturday, had lunch at my new favorite restaurant with two of my very best friends Sunday, and I ended the weekend by going to Forest Park with some other best friends of mine to watch the Blood Moon Sunday night. Despite the two papers I have due tonight, that I have yet to start, I still say it was worth it.
I guess it doesn’t matter what stress I’m under or what needs to be done now, I still want to always have time for my friends. Because without them, yeah those papers might have been done three days ago, but my sanity would be gone, and I wouldn’t have such great memories.

Yes, this year my family and I started the 4th all decked out in red, white and blue in Lambert airport. At 4 a.m., I was going through security to get on a plane to go to Mexico. Now, it wasn’t just a normal family vacation. My cousin was getting married. It was a week-long family vacation.
The resort we stayed at was all-inclusive. So, we had all the food and… alcohol we wanted. My family took full advantage of that. I had a lot of first experiences while I was there. I went Kayaking, which I was super nervous about at first. I’m glad I did it though, it was so much fun! I highly recommend it! I saw MJ for the first time. Not really, it was a Micheal Jackson impersonator. I had some Salmon and Lobster. I found out that I love salmon, and hate lobster. It was also my first time swimming in an ocean…with sting rays! No, it wasn’t an excursion. At first I was freaked out but I got use to them. Most importantly this was my first time seeing my cousin getting married and it was beautiful. I am so happy for him and his new wife.
Between all the shenanigans I made some new friends! Iguanas roamed around the resort. I saw at least 10 a day. Possibly could be the same ones but it is still a lot. We had a waiter throughout the whole week named Lorenzo and he was the sweetest. He went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. He said he only makes $4 a day, so we made sure to tip him well because he deserves it, while he is trying to look for work in America. Within a year he will be able too, and I hope the best for him!

LOVE isn’t solely for Valentine’s Day. Love is patient and love is kind. Love is for all. You might even think of Nat King Cole’s “Love” or Haddaway’s “What Is Love.”
…Baby, don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me no more.
Honestly, I think love is so overrated. People give love way too many definitions. Love is an indefinite feeling! No boundaries. Zero. Zilch. Why would we strip someone of the opportunity to feel something really genuine? All I’m saying is, THIS WORLD NEEDS MORE OF THE X’s and O’s. No questions asked.
Love can be anything as simple as loving a certain food, color, or loving life simply because you were given the Heavenly chance to have one! I believe that love stems from gratitude — if you cannot be grateful for all that you have been given, the people in your life, or what is to come, what is there to love?
That is just my opinion. Agree, disagree, or agree with a difference…I will still love what everyone else’s opinions are as well!
Ta, ta for now!
xoxo
