Finally! Spring Break! Is it just me or was Spring Break very much needed? It feels like Winter Break was forever ago, but that is not the point of this post. What am I going to be doing? Well, I will be decompressing for a day and then it’s time to get to work. I will be working on and improving my projects that I am currently working on. I have some new ideas currently cooking and I am in the process of drawing out blueprints, prototypes, etc. For what exactly? I am not going to disclose that information. Who knows, you may see & use it in the future! Time will tell. Until next time guys, stay classy!

Fall Semester Wrap Up

by Candance on December 8, 2016

in College Life

Well, well, well, this semester came and went! This is my second semester so I still have a little while to go, but I can definitely say that this semester has taught me a lot. I’ve learned to be patient with myself and technology, and the online courses I had took me outside of my shell a bit. I know the IDT program will only continue to do this as I progress along.

I am happy that break is here though and the main reason is because my trip to California is drawing near (Dec. 27th). That day is also my son’s 18th birthday, and so I’m excited for him as well.

I am very elated to be apart of this blog group and have enjoyed reading others’ blogs when I had time & found them to be interesting. I found blogging to be very comfortable and yet I hope you found some interest within my blogs too.

See you guys next semester!

Something about myself:

I’ve done my undergraduation in India, from JawaharLal Nehru Technological University in 2012. After my undergraduation, I’ve worked for Google Maps in India for 3 years. Then I took the decision to pursue Masters in Computer Sciences, to move a step ahead in my career. The process of applying to the universities had been very easy for me. I dreamt of an admission into Fontbonne University, as it is one of the best universities in Saint Louis.

I’m enrolled in the course of Masters in Computer and Information Science. The reason behind my decision to choose this course of study is because of the course field that Fontbonne is giving. Cyber security, data mining and software testing are one of the best fields in Computer Science. The scope of career development is vast and it’s booming in technology these days.

As everyone know Saint Louis is such a place where Computer Science is highly recommended. I’m glad I joined this school, it’s a lot of fun, collaborating with studies.

Life has changed a lot for me, of course in good ways,  there are always opportunities knocking my door every single week. Being busy is a routine now!😊 I’m in love with it! 😊☺

I’m also working as a student worker at Center of Emerging and Educational Technology with Amy Peach. It couldn’t have been any better. 😇 Ms. Amy Peach is the best teacher, a guide, and a perfect role model. I got to learn a lot of things from the faculty at Fontbonne.

My Major!

by Fontbonne University on October 1, 2015

in Academics

My name is Jessica Jordan. I am majoring in Computer Science and technology and Cyber security. I chose to pursue this major because I do well with computers. I am intrigued when it comes down to technology. My strongest subject is mathematics. So I can say that I not only chose my major it chose me. I want to find a career that deals with me being on a computer 24/7, constantly gathering and finding new ways to perform math problems. I can’t wait to see how the world will change as time goes on. As time goes on technology will continue to evolve and become more and more a part of our daily lives.

The Secret Power of the Vinyl

by Fontbonne University September 23, 2014

“You would never guess what I saw today!” I say to my  mother. She pauses before I dramatically respond “A Vinyl Record!” I laugh as I see her anxious expression change to one of slight dissapointment and humor. I was riding the bus when I noticed it- a man obsessing over his ‘new’ purchase. He […]
