Love

LOVE isn’t solely for Valentine’s Day. Love is patient and love is kind. Love is for all. You might even think of Nat King Cole’s “Love” or Haddaway’s “What Is Love.”

…Baby, don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me no more.

Honestly, I think love is so overrated. People give love way too many definitions. Love is an indefinite feeling! No boundaries. Zero. Zilch. Why would we strip someone of the opportunity to feel something really genuine? All I’m saying is, THIS WORLD NEEDS MORE OF THE X’s and O’s. No questions asked.

Love can be anything as simple as loving a certain food, color, or loving life simply because you were given the Heavenly chance to have one! I believe that love stems from gratitude — if you cannot be grateful for all that you have been given, the people in your life, or what is to come, what is there to love?

That is just my opinion. Agree, disagree, or agree with a difference…I will still love what everyone else’s opinions are as well!

Ta, ta for now!
xoxo

As you all are aware, Valentines day is coming up. Take time to show anyone of importance how much you love them. Rather it is by spending time with them, giving a hug, or even a smile. Love is not shown in how much money you can spend on that person, it is simply shown by your geniune actions. This Valentines day will be something special for me and hopefully you too. Even a hand made card can say alot to your loved one. Don’t be afraid to branch out and love.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!

It’s the official day to show and share some love! Whether you’re single or in a relationship, just love and be loved. It doesn’t have to be with a boyfriend/girlfriend. I’m sure it’s safe to have your best friend as a Valentine, right?

As for me, I do have a boyfriend. Hehe. His name is Michael, and this is our 5th Valentine’s Day together. THE FIFTH! And it never gets old. I truly do love this guy, and I’m always giggling at the thought of giving him something that I’ve made just for him. I hope he likes it!

For everyone out there, don’t be so sad if you don’t have a particular crush as your Valentine. Your mom, dad, brother, sister, pet, teacher, etc. could be your Valentine! Just don’t make things awkward or too weird, right? :)

Have an awesome day and weekend!

A Love Letter to Chemistry.

by Carly February 14, 2014

On Monday I had the pleasure of turning my hands blue (Okay, this is totally an exaggeration, but still.). Also on Monday, I had the real pleasure of calculating my engineering physics grade after receiving my very first graded physics exam. Then Wednesday I spent 3 hours with the engineering physics tutor, before going to [...]

Valentine’s Day

by Kristen February 12, 2014

As you all probably know by now, Valentine’s Day is this Friday.  For many people, Valentine’s Day is a chance to show loved ones you are thinking about them.  For others, Valentine’s Day is a bitter reminder that they have no one to share the special day with.  For me, the end of Valentine’s Day [...]

Pure Love Lasts

by Abigail October 9, 2013

It has been about twelve years since I was the flower girl for my second cousin’s wedding. Luckily for me and my family, we celebrated this past weekend with my other cousin, who just got married this past Saturday. It was an outdoor wedding, so, naturally everyone was worried as to whether the anticipated rain [...]

My Valentine’s Day!

by Doug February 16, 2012

There are a lot of mixed emotions about Valentine’s Day. I, personally, think Valentine’s Day is wonderful! My wife and I have been married for 3 and a half years. Even though we love each other every other day, it is always fun to celebrate our love for each other. This year we made a [...]

Disowning Valentine’s Day

by Mareaka a.k.a. Free Hill February 15, 2012

I have come to the point in my life where I am learning or have found that there are more important things in life then what the world or society has led me to believe. Take for instance, Valentine’s Day. I was a true fan when I was single and now married. I have disowned [...]

Valentine’s Day – It’s all about the….money.

by Alumni Posts February 16, 2011

Valentine’s Day was two days ago, and for me, it was just another Monday. Whether or not I have or had a valentine, I feel like it is just an overrated holiday. It is a day for people to overly spend their money on hallmark cards, expensive flowers and heart-shaped boxes full of chocolates. I [...]
