Florida

During the second week in Florida, we rented a house on St. George Island. It had a really, really long dock that we used for fishing, crabbing, and kayaking. The kayaking was a little hard, since I had never done it before. But I spent most of my time at the beach. I love to surf and would do it as a sport if I lived in Florida. I also did some shopping and bought some turtles made out of shells. During this time it was my 21st birthday. On that day I went surfing, then I went to some gift shops, and then we went to a restaurant called the Blue Parrot. I had a drink called dreamsicle. I also got some different flavors of vodka!

I feel as though it has been forever since I last blogged! (When in reality it has only been a month) Ever since Spring Break I feel like I have been in hyper-drive trying to get everything done early so I am not stressed out with all my big projects right around exam time!

Over Spring Break I went to Pensacola, Florida which was a lot of fun, and definitely a much needed and appreciated vacation! I had a lot of fun, but once Spring Break was over it was back to reality of classes, school work, working at Orange Leaf and babysitting! Not much has happened other than staying busy. Last week was Spirit Week and because of work and babysitting I didn’t get to participate as much as I would have liked to, but I did get to go to the Cardinals game which is always a lot of fun with the Fontbonne group! Everyone who went to the dance said they had a great time, and the pictures made it look like a lot of fun! Hopefully next year I will be able to do more with Spirit week! Well, time for me to get back to all that studying and projects!

Women’s basketball is about to start up Monday the 15th. This year we have five stellar freshman that are going to help tremendously this year. We have worked really hard this pre-season with conditioning and weightlifting. This is my senior year, so I am giving it all I got this year. We have the potential of going really far in our conference, considering we have a lot of talent and height. Along with our hard workouts, we had a lot of fun with team bonding events. This year was our first annual mouse race fund-raising event. There were so many people donating and contributing for all of us to go to Daytona Florida for a Christmas tourney. Our favorite item was a free two hours at Pin Up Bowl on Delmar. There are so many good memories already made, and so many more to come.
