Hey everyone!!

Welcome to the end of the year! Finals are less than a week away, and I can’t wait to not be a constant ball of stress that always has some form of homework due every single day. I won’t be finished with finals until next Thursday, so I’ve got a long week ahead of me 😅

But let’s fast forward real quick and talk about summer!!! I’m not sure if it will be a super exciting summer, but I am excited to go back home to be with my family and to also work at Baskin Robbins! I feel like that may be all that I talk about when I go home, but at least it will be the summer season and I hope to work more…

I’m also excited to go to the beach in July for my family vacation. We are going to DESTIN, FL!!! 🏖️ I get to meet up with part of my family that lives in Alabama, and I only get to see them twice a year and I can’t wait to see them because I feel like I never get to see them (hence the twice a year part)…

But that’s about all I know about my summer so far, but I’ll inform you all we get back to school in August!!

peace out and see you all soon,

Morgan

Hi everyone!

I hope your last week of classes is going well!! I wish you all luck and motivation to finish strongly!

It’s the end of the semester and academic year, so I’d like to recap a bit of my year to you guys (if you’ll let me)..

A few of the exciting things that happened to me this semester were:

  • I was able to go to NACA (National Association of Campus Activities) Convention in Baltimore back in February for FAB and ODK so that we would be able to bring back performers for campus!
  • At the End of the Year Banquet for ODK this past weekend, I was sworn in as Secretary of ODK for the next school year!
  • I also received the Exceptional Transition Leader at the Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony this past Saturday!

I don’t entirely remember many cons of this semester, so we’re not even going to acknowledge them 🙂

Next fall. So close, and yet so far away from where we are now. We don’t want spring to end because then summer comes around, and then we don’t want summer to end because then fall is here. But we can all agree that we don’t want to leave our friends for summer, but we won’t be able to wait until we get back for fall to see them all again! I am excited for the Fall Semester because I am finally starting to take a lot of speech-language pathology classes, and I have an art class to take as well. Oddly enough, all of my classes fall on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, I am a free woman!!

peace out everyone,

Morgan

Hey everyone! I’m back once again to blog to you all, and this week I’m blogging about how I’m wrapping up the end of the semester (year)!!! Now I know that everyone is just as excited as I am to either get back home or to at least be out of classes for a few months! (I have been ready since Spring Break, let me tell you…) I can’t wait to be home so that I can work at my job back home, but also to hang out with my family, go on family vacations, and to just relax.

But to think about how I’m prepping for the end of the semester? That’s a tough one… I don’t know what I’d actually say that I do besides make sure (like triple check) that everything you need to have finished is done, turned in, and then you don’t have to worry about it ever again. Sometimes people wait until the end of the semester to even start certain things, and to be honest, I have no idea how you can manage that sort of stress because I couldn’t imagine not doing something for class on purpose (but I have forgotten a few assignments here and there!!)

Another way that I try and prep for the end of the semester is to not procrastinate… I may not always practice what I preach, especially right now, but cramming is not always the best idea… I know that I procrastinate quite a bit, but I would like to tell you all that we should not procrastinate specifically in biology because I have a comprehensive final and I am not mentally prepared for what is going to come of it :/

peace out,

Morgan

Hey everyone!

Happy April!!! This week I’m going to talk to you about my favorite type of music… which I don’t have one.

Okay, byeee. Blog’s over!

Just kidding. But I truly don’t have a favorite type of music, I just love music in general. I love having music playing wherever I go, wherever I am; I just love music and the messages that artists are trying to convey through their art that is music.

But back to the prompt: my favorite musical artist right now might possibly be Drake. I am not just saying this because More Life came out on March 17th, but it definitely adds to my love of Drake music. I never really knew that I liked rap music because sometimes I don’t consider Drake to be rap, sometimes he can have more pop tendencies to his music. But I think that’s why so many people like listening to him. I discovered him much later than some of the true fans (shoutout to them though for their dedication), but I still appreciate his music as well. I may not be a longtime fan, but I still appreciate his music, both old and new, as much as I can; and my appreciation for music is shown with me trying to learn the lyrics as quickly as possible. Hence why I’ve listened to More Life almost on loop since it came out…

Well, if I listed all of my favorite artists, songs, albums, and any other music related things, we would be here for days… but check back in next time to read my next blog!

peace out,

Morgan

Black History Month and What It Means to Me

by Morgan February 27, 2017

Black History Month means to me appreciating those who are African American. I do think that there shouldn’t just be one month associated with appreciating African Americans because they deserve so much more than a month of appreciation, especially the shortest month of the year. I definitely think that it is important to indulge in […]
