Thanksgiving break was much needed. I needed time with my family, time away from Clayton and time away from school. I did not go home for break, but I went to North County to spend time with all my extended family. My parents are the odd balls that are still in Illinois. I love Thanksgiving. Great time with family and lots of food. Who wouldn’t like that?! But there’s a side of Thanksgiving that I do not like. For one black friday shopping was started on Thanksgiving. In my opinion that is really wrong. That is supposed to be a day about family not finding good deals for christmas presents. Another thing is that christmas decorations and music is up and being played way before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving deserves its time and does not need Christmas butting in. Well, that’s my rant for the day. I love Christmas don’t get me wrong, but it will have its’ time on December 25th.
STL Up Late
On Saturday night was my first experience of STL Up Late. The best way to explain it is that it is a STL version of SNL. I believe they have shows every saturday night. If you get a chance I highly recommend it! It is only $10. So it is an affordable thing to do for college kids. I went with my best friend Erica and Chris. After that we went to the after party at Jack Patrick’s Bar and Grill. I met some new people and it was a great time.
Griffins! I cannot believe that it is almost Thanksgiving break and the semester is almost over! Trust me I am so glad. This semester has been really stressful and I am in need of a break and some family time. On my plate I have 18 credit hours, trying to have a social life, VP of Geeking2Gether and balancing a long distance relationship. Phew. As soon as finals are over I AM OFFICIALLY A SENIOR! It is about time. It is crazy that I only have one year left at Fontbonne and then I am headed over to Denver, Colorado. Next semester is another 18 credit load, possibly 19. I have not decided yet. I have until Tuesday! Have a great weekend Griffins!
Until Next Time..
