This summer is going to be off the hook! I have so many things planned.
May: Help with graduation, bridal shower, and go home for about two weeks!
June: Summer school (not that exciting)
July: Still summer school, a week in Mexico, Warped Tour, Mayhem fest, and Colorado
August: Still in Colorado, and then MY LAST SEMESTER OF COLLEGE.
I also plan on going to Six Flags and hanging out with my friends since I will be here in St. Louis majority of the summer! Im super excited!
Last night I went to support my friends band, Struck By Sound at Fubar. But, I didn’t realize that Set It Off was the headliner. I almost died. Jumping around and rocking out all night, brings me back to high school. I got back in that mosh pit. My body took a beating after that and is paying for it today. I got to meet Cody, the lead singer of Set It Off and we took a selfie together. I also met one of the other opening bands. It was great going to a concert for leisure and not for my internship. I had sooo much fun. It got me even more excited for Warped Tour and Mayhem Fest this summer. Yeah, I am a rocker girl at heart. I wouldn’t have it any other way! \m/
As soon as I read the article about St. Louis being a hidden gem, I knew it would be all over my newsfeed on Facebook. The article is so true. St. Louis is very special. I’ve always had a love for STL because my family is here. Now, that I go to school here, I have new life long friends. I got introduced to new found love; for example Improv. I try to go to the Improv shop (https://www.facebook.com/theImprovshop) once a week. They have shows on Mondays and Thursdays. Go check them out! While there I have met so many great people that I would of never have met if I didn’t go. They are a unique bunch and I love them. Before that I heard about STL Up Late, a lot of the people in that show do Improv also. Thats really how I go into Improv and you should too! Just go to the shows and meet new people.
I agree with everything in that article why St. Louis is a hidden gem. St. Louis has a lot of perks that other cites don’t. Chicago doesn’t have half of what St. Louis has to offer. I am glad to say that St. Louis is my second home. My home away from home.
Until SPRING BREAK. Not just any spring break. My LAST spring break of college. Say what?! I feel like I graduated from PSHS not too long ago. Though, college has its downs I am really wishing that my last year of college goes slower. The real world is a scary place. I am worried about being ready. I have had a good life so far, thanks to my family and friends. I just hope I am ready for the next part of my life. Which won’t be in Illinois anymore. Scary. Im heading to the West Coast where there will be more opportunities with the industry I want to get into. Chicago will always have a place in my heart, there is just nothing that the state of Illinois can offer me anymore. To me it was a perfect place for a child to grow up in.
