This 4th of July was lots of fun! On Friday we visited our cousin in Wisconsin. We went to her house and had a BBQ. She has a 2-year-old son that was very outgoing. The hotel was nice too. It had a big pool and French toast and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The next day we went to see my cousin and aunt in Chicago. We went to her house and she had a nice lunch planned for us. Then went went downtown and explored the city and went to an Asian restaurant called Joyee. We also visited the Palmer house which is a very luxurious hotel. We got to ride the L (train) to the city. It had 100 different drinks. I had a pomegranate icee with ice cream. The next day we swam at the beach during the day and watched fireworks at night.
My aunt’s house is over 100 years old. It was made for little people. The ceiling is really low, I had to bend over several times. The bathrooms are very small and the stairs are very hard to walk up. The stairs are smaller than your feet. If you walk up too fast, you will fall. In the backyard there is a door like the house from the wizard of oz. It is slanted from the ground and props open, leading to the basement. This was originally a farm house but it’s not anymore. Now its in the middle of the city!
