The Power of Music

Music is powerful. It is a tool that is used to express feelings that one cannot simply put into words. Music makes us cry, laugh, feel pain we didn’t know we had, and often times makes us think about the hurt someone caused that we’re still trying to forget. Imagine sitting on on the window pane drifting out into the open pastures while Mariah Carey is playing in the background. Are you thinking about a “Vision of Love?” Is it your “Dream lover” that is causing the “Breakdown” of your life crumbling in the shadows? If Mariah isn’t your cup of tea, then maybe it was Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away.” It doesn’t matter if you’re sitting in the window pane, in the middle of the floor, or laying in your bed on a Saturday morning around 10 a.m. Music is essential and helps us in any situation. Music is uplifting. I guess Eminem was right when said,  “That’s why they call it window pain.” The only thing that can make me forget about my sorrows is the opening rift in Hilary Duff’s “So Yesterday.”
