4th of July Weekend

This 4th of July weekend I was fortunate enough to have off work both Saturday and Sunday. I spent Saturday with my boyfriend Glynn and watched fireworks in town. On Sunday we spend some time with his family, ate burgers his dad cooked on the grill and ended the evening with a spontaneous painting session. Disclaimer: I’m completely new to painting, but I enjoy it exceedingly more than I expected.

This is my second time painting (ever), and I find it’s a great outlet for creativity and even built up emotions. Even if you’re not an artist, I’d encourage anyone to pick up a paint brush and try it; you may surprise yourself!
I’m still brainstorming ideas for my next painting. I’ll be sure to post pictures when the time comes 🙂
