Hello, everyone! To start things off for my first blog, I’ll tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Kristen (which you probably already know). I am a third-year senior here at Fontbonne. By that, I mean this is my third year in college, but also my senior year, because I’m graduating early. I am a Speech-Language Pathology major. What is that, you may ask? It means that I am learning to treat speech and language disorders. When I grow up (after graduate school) I would like to work with children, maybe in a hospital setting.
Besides attending classes, I also am a part of Fontbonne’s dance team, the Griffin Girls; have a part-time job at the Wilson School, where I also teach ballet classes; am part of NSSHLA and Alpha Lambda Delta; and a couple of other school-ish things. You might see me around campus, at a basketball game or at a meeting. Be sure to say “hi” to me!
I’m sure you’ll learn more about me as we go, so enough of that introduction stuff.
By the way, we’re officially 1/3 through the semester. Congratulations! Even as I get excited about this milestone, I realize that this was the easy third. I have termed the next section “Death #1” and the final third of the semester “Death by Final Exams”.
It’s okay, Kristen. Deep breaths, happy thoughts.
There’s a lot of exciting stuff coming up for the rest of the semester. FAB , the Fontbonne Activities Board, always puts together some great events for students. There will also be St. Louis things like baseball, football and hockey games to attend. It will be a fun semester, I promise.
Good luck with your week, guys! And happy fall!
