I can relate. I went through a period where I got tired of taking others' words about who God is. I wanted to know who He was for myself and that is what I set out to do. Since then, I have come to know Him on a much deeper level and my personal relationship with Him has blossomed beyond measure. I am glad that you are in a place where you are trying to know Him better for yourself. He is awesome.
