I did my second Rock n Roll half marathon on Sunday, Oct. 21st, 2012, here in St. Louis. This is the 5th half marathon I have done. This time around my overall time. That was a bonus. I worked with a trainer doing lots of hills and speedwork so I think that played a huge part in it. Kristin at www.fitbydefinition.com. She is great and offers an economical price on workouts with a punch card.
Every time I do a half, I ask myself, why am I doing this? For me, it is a stress relief to run (cheaper than therapy), it is nice to have a goal to work towards. No one can take your runs away from you. Somedays are tough, there are good runs, hard runs, and the list goes on and on. But I do it for me. And I tell myself I won’t do the one in April 2013, but chances are I will!
