Pizza and Dietetics!?

Say What?! Sounds strange…right? However it’s all in a day’s work for a Dietetics student. As I shared with you in my first post ever, HES 221 Food Theory and Application Lab is my favorite class. Today (Wednesday, actually) was no exception because we made pizza! Easily one of my favorite foods. I know…another shocker! As a dietetics student I get portrayed as the food police, however as my fellow blogger and dietetics student Karen mentioned I too love the philosophy of our professor Jaimette McCulley “all foods can fit.”  We made the crust from scratch which was surprisingly easy and delicious! (not surprised by the delicious part) I wish I could post pictures, but I’m having difficulty at the moment :( ,  but believe me the pizza we made rivals any chain pizza restaurant around! Stay tuned for a picture heavy post of what’s been cookin’ up on campus!
