New coach, new outcome.

Last night, both the Men’s and Women’s soccer teams played one of our conference rivals, Webster University.  Starting the game, I had this feeling that it was going to be a victory. We came out and gave it our all: we played good soccer. We ended up winning 2-1, and even now I am still amped about this win. Why do I feel this way about one game? This victory was the first win against the Gorlocks for the Women’s soccer program in 10 years! This season our new coach, Mike Lagow, was hired. He has pushed us as hard as we could go. All the work that he has had us do is paying off. We are working together more, and we are a completely different team. Our last regular season game is this Saturday at home. The SLIAC playoffs start Wednesday, as we will take on Greenville college. We have come a long way, and we aren’t stopping until we get things done. 🙂
