Mike- Time for a New Era of Hope

My thoughts on the upcoming election are very firm and simple.  Barack Obama is the man who needs to be the next President of the United States of America.  The most important policy that needs to be addressed is the quagmire that we call the economy.  Obama will make healthcare more affordable for every American and create more jobs for the American public.  Working class families will receive necessary tax cuts.  John McCain says “the fundamentals of the economy are strong.”  That quote should tell any rational human being that McCain has no idea what is happening here.  People might say that Obama is not qualified for the Presidency.  However, McCain has been in Congress for the past twelve years while this country has experienced disaster.  How much has he done? Besides, many great Americans were outstanding Presidents without much prior political experience, including George Washington, John Adams, and Abraham Lincoln.

The “war in Iraq” will be ended by Obama, who understands that it is not making us any safer. This “war” was never even formally declared.  Obama’s foreign policy plan is admirable: working with international leaders to make changes, not being standoffish and childish like McCain plans to be.  Obama cares about the men and women of the military and wants to focus more on Afghanistan and other places.  For the life of me I cannot understand why McCain wants to continue sacrificing our military forces.  But then again, McCain thinks the economy is just fine. Obama is an answer to the prayers of people who cannot afford education, an essential aspect of a successful society.  He has multiple plans for making education more affordable and helping children.  He plans to improve after school opportunities, boost salaries for teachers, and make math and science a priority.  Obama plans to work with developing countries to advance them economically.  He will secure our borders, stabilize our work force, and expand our freedom.  I could go on and on for Obama and on and on against McCain.  However, I will conclude in the final paragraph.

Obama represents the working class and the middle class, which has been the backbone of this country since it declared its independence more than 200 years ago.  McCain has voted 90% of the time with Bush; we will not have a third term.  McCain has done more trying to find with Obama than stating his plan for the country.  That’s probably because he doesn’t have a plan.  This tattered country does not need a Conservative, one trying to preserve the status quo, with all of the problems we have.  It is time for change.  It is time for a new era of hope when the United States of America can get back on the right track.  Obama is the man that can and will turn this country around and set its priorities straight once again.  To quote Young Jeezy, “My President is Black.
