Mike- Enthusiastic and Spirited

Spirit Week was absolutely fantastic for me as a Fontbonne student.  I had a great time tailgating before the women’s volleyball game on Tuesday night.  We gathered a massive crowd to support the volleyball team.  All of us were enthusiastic, spirited, and downright obnoxious.  Some of us painted our faces purple and gold and all of us had props for the game.  Wednesday night was amazing as well with a lip sync contest.  My friend T.J. and I performed a Michael Jackson song and incorporated some choreography with it as well.  We took home $100 as the first place winners of the first annual Fontbonne lip sync contest.

The wonderful week culminated with the Mystery Maquerade on Friday night.  Mystery Masquerade is a fall formal dance in which the students do not know where they are going until they actually arrive there.  It is the best kept secret on the campus of Fontbonne University and the location changes from year to year.  Everyone there had an awesome time.  There was great food, great music, and great people with which to spend the evening.  All of the attendees were still talking about it the next day.  On Saturday, I might add that the Fontbonne men’s soccer team claimed the SLIAC title by defeating Principia in overtime.  In all, Spirit Week featured a variety of activities that enabled students to show school pride and just have an excellent time at Fontbonne University.

Check out women’s volleyball, men’s soccer, and student activities.
